This variety pack is made for cider vinegar lovers and features three vinegars that are unique to American Vinegar Works:
1- Cranberry Apple Cider Vinegar:
This vinegar was the only one recognized by the Good Food Foundation in 2020 for the entire Northeast. It is apple cider co-fermented with cranberries from Massachusetts bogs and finished with boiled apple from Vermont. An excellent example of our Sweet and Tangy vinegar style.
2- Apple and Pear Cider Hot Vinegar:
A truly special cider vinegar. If you were to taste it on it's own you first get a note of smoke, followed by savory, and, finally, a very slight amount of heat. This is our favorite for making a bourbon switchel cocktail. We put this vinegar on everything other than breakfast cereal. This is an excellent example of our Fermented Flavors vinegar style.
3- Pear and Apple Cider Vinegar:
Light and delicate this vinegar is made mostly from perry (ie pear cider) with a slight amount of apple cider. After slow fermentation this vinegar is aged in American oak barrels previously used to make rye whiskey. Aging in wood gives this vinegar a mellow flavor and makes it an excellent example of our Barrel Aged vinegar style.
All of our ciders come from a local cidery not far from our vinegar works or Johnny Appleseeds' birthplace.
Like all of our other vinegars, these cider vinegars (ACV) are raw and unfiltered. Fermented, aged, and hand bottled by us in our vinegar works.
