Our Wildflower Durty Honey is infused with pollen and propolis collected from our own hives.
To get the full benefits of our honey mix honey before using.
Suggested uses: Add to protein shakes, toast, muffins, peanut butter sandwiches, celery or right out of the jar.
Pollen is multi-colored which reflects the color of pollen collected from various types of flowers. The use of pollen was first recorded in the early Middle ages. Eating local honey regularly is thought to alleviate the symptoms of hay fever, from which up to 25% of people suffer. A natural energy enhancer, bee pollen is the only plant source that contains the exclusive vitamin B12.
Propolis is a sticky resin that is collected by worker bees from conifers and other types of trees. Bees use it in the hive to block drafts. Propolis has antibacterial and anti-fungal properties.
Infusion is a process where we collect pollen and propolis and bits of bees wax from our hives and gently infuse in honey. This gentle honey infusion absorbs all the properties and nutrients from the pollen and propolis. We do not stain any of pollen or propolis out. It all goes directly into the jar. The honey you receive will be loaded with bits and pieces of pollen, propolis and wax.
Crystallization: All honey crystalizes or becomes hard. To soften, place honey jar in warm water for a few minutes. Never heat or microwave as it will destroy the nutrient benefits of the honey.
